As part of our commitment to promoting sports and healthy lifestyles, Balidea is getting involved in European Sports Week (23rd to 30th September) in a big way. On Friday 27th September, we will be celebrating the second edition of our own private Olympics, 'Vigo 2024'.
An initiative of the European Commission and the Higher Sports Council
The European Week of Sport (EWS) is a European Commission initiative that aims to encourage all sectors of society to carry out actions that promote healthy lifestyles through physical activity, sport, and proper nutrition. To this end, the #BeActive campaign has been launched, coordinated in Spain by the Higher Council for Sport (CSD).
At Balidea, we are supporting the campaign by celebrating "Vigo 2024", a fun sports day in which our employees will take part in various activities. The CSD's platform has a map showing the activities, where you can find information about this initiative and the other activities taking place as part of the EWS.
Vigo 2024: the second edition of our Olympics
After celebrating the first edition of our Olympics, Cangas 2023, in 2023, the Balidea team will gather at Samil Beach in Vigo on Friday 27 September 2024 to take part in basketball, football, paddle tennis and beach volleyball tournaments. Alongside these, there will be a walking tour of the beach area and a classic video game tournament organised by the Museo do Videoxogo, with whom Balidea collaborates and is a supporting partner.
