The awarding of the contract drives technological innovation in Galician public healthcare and will improve clinical efficiency and personalised care, with AI solutions certified under the UNE-ISO/IEC 42001 standard.

Balidea has been awarded the first contract by SERGAS (the Galician Health Service) to develop generative artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistants. This is an important step that cements SERGAS' position as a leader in technological innovation in healthcare.

For our company, this is one of the most significant milestones in our brief history. This pioneering project will allow us to help healthcare professionals work more efficiently and provide a more personalised level of care to their patients.

The platform will cover a range of key areas, including resolving queries about drug treatments and consultations, providing medical record summaries, assisting with admission coding and discharge reporting, and offering rapid assistance based on protocols and applications. The project also includes development, implementation, third-level technical support, incident management and pilot programmes to ensure everything works robustly and practically.

As we always say, innovating also means doing so responsibly. This is why we hold the international UNE-ISO/IEC 42001 certification, which ensures that our AI systems are managed securely, reliably and transparently, providing peace of mind for professionals and patients alike. This achievement is thanks to the hard work and dedication of our teams, and represents a new step in our commitment to providing the healthcare sector with useful and responsible AI solutions. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
