The companies dealing with the Galician footwear industry join the ICT sector in order to develop technologies which allow them to gain a firm foothold in the HEALTHCARE business by means of the PROTGAL project.
The Galician footwear industry is encompassed by the strategic sector for Galicia: the textile industry, fashion and dressmaking according to the strategic plan Galicia 2010-2014 Horizonte 2020.

Balidea, aware of the specific weight of the agricultural sector, is currently working on the "KIVASENIA" project. This project, participated by companies and Kiwi Kiwi Atlantic Burgueira and OPI's AZTI-TECNALIA, Areeiro (Council of Pontevedra), ITG of the consortium coordinated by Balidea pursues the enhancement of kiwi in the market.
On 15 and 16 April the meeting start (Kick Off Meeting) UnderstAID the European project in which participates as a technology partner Balidea held in A Coruña. Balidea is working with Danish, Polish and Spanish institutions in the development of a customizable platform training through mobile devices and cloud applications designed for caregivers of people with dementia.
